Background

In addition to the comprehensive review and update to Redevelopment Plans, the City will have to undertake a number of time intensive redevelopment planning exercises to address certain “Redevelopment Plan Zones”. These efforts will require extensive public and stakeholder engagement and detailed redevelopment plans. The following is a list of all Redevelopment Plan Zones that will require updates and amendments:
  • Roebling Center Redevelopment Plan Zone (RPZ-2)

  • Sun National Bank Center Redevelopment Plan Zone (RPZ-3)

  • Trenton Transit Center TOD Redevelopment Plan Zone (RPZ-4)

  • Downtown Waterfront Redevelopment Plan Zone (RPZ-5)

  • Route 1 Industrial Redevelopment Plan Zone (PRZ-6)

  • East State Street Redevelopment Plan Zone (RPZ-7)

  • Capital Health Mercer Campus Redevelopment Plan Zone (RPZ-8)

  • Creekside Redevelopment Plan Zone (RPZ-9)

  • Roebling Gateway Redevelopment Plan Zone (RPZ-10)

  • Cadwalader Estates Redevelopment Plan Zone (RPZ-11)

Some updates should require only moderate amendments. However, the following plans will require significant time and investment to write and update because of a need to change the boundaries of the redevelopment area (and therefore undertake a new preliminary investigation), because the standards need considerable updates, and/or because they will require stakeholder and public input:
  • Cass Street Station Redevelopment Plan Zone (RPZ-1)

  • Trenton Transit Center TOD Redevelopment Plan Zone (RPZ-4)

  • Downtown Waterfront Redevelopment Plan Zone (RPZ-5)

  • East State Street Redevelopment Plan Zone (RPZ-7)

  • Capital Health Mercer Campus Redevelopment Plan Zone (RPZ-8)

  • Creekside Redevelopment Plan Zone (RPZ-9)

  • Route 1 Industrial Redevelopment Plan Zone (PRZ-6)
