Final Draft of Trenton250 – Public Hearing for Adoption


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Board of the City of Trenton will conduct a public hearing at 7:30 PM on February 23, 2017 to consider the adoption of the City’s Trenton250 Master Plan pursuant to Article 3 of the New Jersey Municipal Land Use Law (N.J.S.A. 40:55D-28.b.(1)). The public hearing will be held at the City of Trenton’s City Hall, 319 East State Street, Trenton, New Jersey and public comment will be taken during the public hearing.  Potential action taken by the Planning Board at the public hearing will be the adoption of the City’s Trenton250 Master Plan.

The City’s Trenton250 Master Plan is a comprehensive plan that provides a long-range vision for the community and the built environment.  It is meant to be a guide for the City from now to year 2042, the 250th Anniversary of City’s incorporation.  A Master Plan is a blueprint for a municipality that guides decisions for both growth and conservation.  The Trenton250 Master Plan outlines a vision for the City, goals for accomplishing that vision, as well as various initiatives and actions to achieve those goals.

A copy of the City’s Trenton250 Master Plan will be on file and available for public inspection at least ten (10) days prior to the date of the hearing in the office of the City Clerk at City Hall, 319 East State Street, Trenton, NJ, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. A copy of the Master Plan is also available on the City’s Division of Planning web site and has been filed with the Mercer County’s Planning Board and the Clerk of each adjoining municipality – Hamilton, Lawrence and Ewing.
